I went into the local archery shop and played with a couple new Bowtechs, easy to draw @ 60lbs even with a bum shoulder, and seemed smooth. I have a bad shoulder that is going to get fixed this winter so I bought a crossbow. I cant get used to using a crossbow so I ordered a new Carbon Knight set at 60 lbs. It should be here next Tuesday, I cant wait to get back into shooting. Does anyone have any experience with these bows?

Thanks.

Owned a carbon knight before I took the traditional leap. It's a decent bow. Now I'm back into shooting both recurve and compound ended up getting the new PSE Carbon Air which I like a lot. What questions did you have about the knight?

Pay particular attention to your grip as these bows (in 2014 model) are pretty susceptible to hand torque. MOst boes are though. At least the ones I have shot were.
They are light, tune well due to the OD cam system and twin yokes and are pretty darn fast even at 60. The one I shot was 28" 62# and a about a 415-ish grain arrow 305 FPS.
I liked it but this was a 2014 model and the grip is now different on the newer ones. The 2014 had a really squared off back of the grip.

Mainly quality concerns. I've never owned a Bowtech, I've always had Bear or PSE. My manager swears by Bowtech as does the shop here in Kemmerer.

I have owned 3 bowtechs (carbon knight, insanity cpx, and rpm 360). The only quality issue I have had was a cracked limb on the rpm 360, which was replaced without issue and still going strong. I no longer have the carbon knight, but the only problem I remember with it was that the cable slide was hard on the cables causing them to show wear somewhat quickly. I didn't care for the light weight. It was nice to carry, but counterproductive to accuracy for me.

I think the carbon knight is just a regular binary and lacks yokes. Carbon overdrive has twin yokes. Either way the carbon knight has got very good reviews by a lot of people on forums like archerytalk.
Enjoy the new bow!!

I Also owned a carbon knight and decided I didn't like it. I shot it through the summer, Hunted with it for one season and sold the bow and went back to my old setup. Just wasn't forgiving enough for me while I was trying to rehab a shoulder injury as well

Hmm ya thats right, the Carbon OD has the twin yokes the knight has just the standard binary cams. Got my bows mixed up.
Still a decent bow, some dont like them for reasons posted above.
I remember asking the tech at Bowtech when I first shot that along with the RPM 360 the day they put it out. "why didnt they make this the same cam system as the insanity etc. with the yokes" he said it'l happen next year.

The most important part is that you are excited to shoot it and like how it feels. Enjoy the new ride.
