car interior heat and laminated stocks

Any experiences with laminated rifle stocks when the firearm sit is a car trunk, or even the body with windows, in extreme heat.
Glues don't like to be above 140 degrees.

You aren’t wrong about PVA carpenter wood glue. However all the laminated woods I’ve heard of are bonded with high temperature adhesives more like that used in construction plywood.

It still needs to have all surfaces sealed, or as a whole it will swell and shrink with changes in humidity if not sealed, but it’s minimal.

There are some laminated woods that are epoxy impregnated and completely waterproof, such as knife handles, but it’s my understanding wood for stocks are not that.

I had the first laminated Ruger stock and it split into about 5 pieces, ruger replaced it and it’s still good 30 years later

Laminated stocks are so ugly and heavy… what do they offer that’s better than plastic?

Not sure about rifles, but I have always worried about this with my bow. My buddy in college had his compound in the back of his car and it exploded. I image today's bows are more durable, but I still don't like leaving mine in the car when it is hot out.

Had a Golden Eagle bow delaminate in the desert heat . It was in a soft case in the back of a motor home. I guess the sun pounding on it through the rear window did a job on it.

I used to keep a Ruger HSR in my truck when I worked on the ranch. Averaged just below 100 in August every year, so it was a lot hotter than that in a truck that's sat for days st a time. Never had an issue with that gun.

Big time appreciate the observations. I figured laminated stocks had an epoxy, but the caution about bows had me thinking.
