Captured Bear

Thought you guys might find this interesting.

Been reported nearby for a few weeks, getting into trash etc. Broke into the coop nesting box last night with 2 dead hens. Rooster ran for the hills and left the hens behind (if you need a rooster call me)



CPW setting up trap hours later.

That's what he told me when we set up the cage. I really hope they don't euthanize it and someone gets a chance to hunt it. I always had a soft spot for bears due to their intelligence and dog like characteristics compared to ungulates...

You can come interrogate it. I can't guarantee he/she wont bust out and chase us down lol.

They are just big raccoons. Clever critters.

CPW picked up at 7 and is bringing the bear to Walden. Sorry anybody that hunts up there lol. Bear got to feast on 2 chickens and some venison. Scared the sh** out of me when we jacked up the trap and the bear slammed the cage next to my head

Also saw a dead moose on 9 this morning. 2nd this year
