Canol or Lancasters?

My Avatar Ram was taken with South Nahanni Outfitters in 2017. Great outfitter, exceptional communication, no shortage of rams.

See that it isn't stated in this thread.....Canol was sold and became Keele River under new owners in 2024. The critters are still there! And I've seen photos of some good ones.

Weren't the new owners jacking up prices and not honoring hunt prices already paid for? I thought I read that on another thread here.

That is correct. Keele river is the new owners. Obviously a good area and they seem to kill some great animals and know what they are doing. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the NWT places really just depends on what type of hunt you want heli or not.

most of new owners will do the same and will not honour the priced and time agreed with previous owners. a few returned yukon customers got some bad surprise for the last 2 years ... it is now multi millions operations and they will try to earn a lot. season is short and they can choose their customers/clients/hunters with not be a problem ... up to the next financial crisis ...

I'm hunting with Lancaster in a couple of weeks, I will let you know how it goes. From everyone I know that has hunted with them, they have nothing but high remarks.
I'd love to hear how this hunt goes, as well as any thoughts or advice you have on hunting with them, how to prepare, what to expect, etc. ! I'm hunting Moose and Caribou with them in 2027.
