When digital currency replaces cash, the issuing authority, i.e. the govt, can program your digital account to limit or prohibit purchases.

In fact, some world and govt leaders are saying exactly that.

These error messages aren't just possible but probable as time goes by:

"You have reached your allotted purchases of red meat for this period"

"You have reached your household allotment of gasoline for this period."

"Ammunition purchases of greater than .22 rimfire are prohibited."

"Digital credits may not be contributed to promoters of gun violence, e.g., NRA, GOA, SAF, etc"
