Camping during burn bans - Campfire Options

Well, hope not one of you self righteous guardians of the forest uses your jetboil this fall.

Iced mocha frappucino drinkers for sure because heating water for coffee is a recipe for disaster.

We almost never have a fire when we camp. If it's cold maybe, but I just don't get the allure.

Get an ammo can, hose and regulator, and some gas pipe, can make a propane fire pit for $40.

It's always a bummer not having the campfire - especially with young kids. If its just a stage 1 we'll just try to get a spot in a campground. If that's a no go we just use the burner on our camp stove to let the kids roast marshmallows - and enjoy the extra sleep. As long as your girl gets to eat smores, you'll be more concerned about not having a fire than she is.

My bother and I were camping and fishing at Turquoise yesterday afternoon when this fired up. They had a mandatory evacuation.
