I don’t understand the strong feelings towards the solid colors. I understand that it may not make a difference but why so against camo?

Are you so good you’re proving you don’t need it?

I wear camo for archery season but the very best camo pattern is.......:
The one on sale. Never pay premium price for any camo pattern. But I did buy a Ghuille suit and want to try some still hunting with that.

I run Kryptek Altitude because that's what I already have. I'm pretty convinced I wouldn't have killed my mule deer last year if I wasn't wearing camo. That said if what I had was solid I wouldn't be worried about jumping up to buy new stuff because usually it's not necessary. It just might save you a bit if you mess up and hold still.

Could always make a ghillie scrim for basically no money and throw that over. I mean I'm going to help my girlfriend kill her first deer and she's going to be wearing baby blue snowboarding clothes and be swaddled in my surplus winter whites. Sometimes you just have to get creative.

I generally wear camo pants when archery hunting but don’t stress out too much either way.

I have a pair of obsidians but have been wearing, and loving, my 13 dollar Gerry pants from Costco! I guess I’m not cool since I don’t have matching camp.

I'm more worried about comfort and silence. Some of my favorite hiking pants are just flat noisy. Right now I have Kanab 2.0s in ASAT. I don't think you give anything up hunting in solids. If you're relying on the difference between solids and camo to avoid getting busted, you're probably already visually busted.

It was 1400 degrees in Wyoming this past weekend and I wore my Prana zions and was still hot. This coming week it looks like rain/ snow showers and about 30 degrees cooler. Could be Timberlines or Kryptek Toras. The DWR on those Toras is ridiculous. Definitely gonna feel more like September this coming week, and not like Mars.

I like to wear camo when I'm hunting but do have some of those Wrangler outdoor pants and wear those hunting as well. Like Elknut said "I think camo is cool".

One of the most successful elk hunters of my era. Showing off what he wore most of the time. That said, when bowhunting I normally use camo head to toe

The funny part is that he started “endorsing” different camo brands and they would have his picture in the ad:.........in a plaid shirt and blue jeans! I wrote and told him it would be more effective if he was actually wearing the product he was endorsing. Shortly after that the pictures had him wearing camo🤪

I didn't know they made camo for horses. Lol

I wear camo if I'm hunting because I just dont feel like I am hunting if I am not in camo. Perception is reality and I feel lethal in camo, not so much in britches I might also wear to the office.

Paul is spot on too, camo is cool. Just cause some of you'ins dont redneckinize it dont make it so. ;)

I always wear my camo pants while hunting because they fit so well and are comfortable. But I've been known to wear solid color shirts while hunting as well. The camo is more effective for hiding from other hunters.

solid color mainly because i'm too cheap to drop the $ on pants i am probably going to rip to shreds anyways. i save money buying Pranas and Wrangler Outdoor pants. i feel like the a camo top is vastly more important but still not essential to being successful. in full disclosure though, i have only killed one elk during rifle but i've killed a pile of whitetail with bow and rifle.
