What camo pattern do most of you use for the south Easter part of the US? I’m talking about Georgia, Alabama, North Florida specifically. I’m trying to get a leafy suit to use. I’ve been looking at the North Mountain tops and full suits in Mossy Oak Bottlelands. I’ll hunt in pines, bottoms, hardwoods, and possibly field edges. I only hunt deer as of now in the fall and winter. What do y’all suggest? Just a top? Full suit? What camo pattern?

I bow hunted Louisiana last year. Sounds like similar veg. The guys I was with favored the redhead open mesh jacket from cabelas And a match8ng mask. About half didn’t wear bottoms. Half did. All seemed to have pretty good success.

What are you going to be hunting out of? If you will be hunting in shooting houses you honestly don't need any camo. If you will be in a ladderstand with some sort of cover on it, you may only want a camo top. If you will be hunting from a saddle you may want a full suit. The biggest purpose will be to break up your outline. I personally would get some camo with green in it as we have a lot of trees that keep green on them all year long. I recently bought some stuff in the kryptek obskura traditional pattern but have clothes in mossy oak break up, kuiu verde, and solething similar to realtree edge (its an old pattern).

If I got a leafy suit, I would only get a top. Too many bryers to hang up on to get a bottom or full suit. I think the zach with The Hunting Public wears a nice ghillie suit top.

I would be hunting from a saddle or from the ground without a blind. A lot of people like the Realtree Edge pattern.

I’m down to Mossy Oak Bottomlands or Realtree Edge. What color do you think would be better for fall/winter bow hunting and maybe a little turkey hunting in the spring?

Does anyone run into any issues with shooting their bow with a hood/ face mask from the leafy suit?
