With monos, unless you have a great twist rate, a 180gr TTSX might be something worth looking at. . . H1000, H4831 at two good options.

After recovering a 180gr TTSX bullet out of a bull taken with a 300 WM I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Almost done working up a load for 124 hammer hunters at about 3800 using imr4064. Should be hell on black tails and hogs. Mines a wsm, but your velocities should be similar. Hold pretty much dead on out to 400 or so and pull the trigger.

The 166g hammer hunters really scream out of my 300wm. It’s crazy the velocity people are getting out of those 199g hammers. I may try those eventually.

I did extensive testing on 300WinMag when the law hit. I found the best results in my rifle with a 165gr Hornady GMX over 74.5grs of H4831

I’ve had great luck with 180gn Barnes TTSX over 73 grains of Reloader 22. Hammers bears and mule deer, shoots tight groups out of my Tikka T3x light. Zero recoil.

Well, maybe not zero recoil. The rest is accurate.
