California bull

Congrats on the draw and happy hunting. Please post pictures and tell the story, I don’t think I can mathematically draw one haha
I’m 43 been applying since I was 17-18. The last few years I thought I for sure would draw. Never got picked. Almost gave up hope. This year boom.

Congrats! Yes, please keep us updated. There are some guys on here that have had success on that tag. Maybe one will chime in.

After all those years applying in California, my elk dreams came true. Opening morning we hiked into the wilderness. Bulls were bugling in multiple directions. It’s really steep brushy terrain. But we called this beautiful bull to approx 180 yards. Grateful to everyone that helped me get this big boy out of the woods too. Massive massive body. 900-1000 pound animal

Congrats man! Dont know if ill ever pull an elk tag in Cali with how the point system is now but awesome to see regardless!

It was surreal and there is way more bulls than they lead us to believe. Just really rugged country. And a blessing for sure. 387 pounds of bones out meat minus the tenderloins. Crazy just how big they are.

Very cool. 22pts here patiently waiting my turn. I really want a Tule.
Tule would be so cool. I got impatient putting in for tule bull tag. But would be such a great experience. All the guys with 22-23 points will start drawing all the good tags now.

That's what I am figuring, fortunately I am young @ 36 so I know its a matter of time.
