Anyone have any experience with this in the field? I plan to use this on a Antelope hunt later this year, so not backpacking in for miles. Prob hiking a few miles from the truck, but want something to steady my shot in case I cannot shoot prone because of the landscape. Is there something that might work better that will not cost double?

Been seeing quite a few for sale lately. My uncle bought one a couple weeks ago and used it this weekend for prairie dog hunting. If it’s good enough to hit a little prairie dog, I should hope you’d be solid for an antelope ;)

I had one and just sold it but loved it. I used primarily to set up for distance shots and for ground blind hunting. Always had confidence in stable shooting surface and stretched a few shots out to 300+ yards. I’d buy one again if I was into gun hunting but right now I’ve taken on the bow more. Highly recommend. Quiet. Stable. Durable.

Simple tripod works great. Check out some of the PRS shooting positions using your bag to steady the buttstock while kneeling/ sitting. A simple bungee attached to your stock and pulled to your belt will really steady your rifle while standing off the tripod. The deadshot is heavy/ noisy to haul aroundand is slow to reposition. I use homemade quad pods quite a bit and have made some fantastic long shots with them on both sitting and standing positions. The quad pods can be made for less than 20$

I had a few different models. Did not care for any of them. Bought a Triclawps Solo and tripod and will never give it up.

I’ve got the pro and have used it for deer hunting for two years straight and love it. Works great inside 300 yards. Like you said, as long as you don’t have to tote it all over creation then it’s a really good and cost-effective tool.
