Need some new super light rain gear. Anybody have any experience with the Cabelas space rain gear? I know their cheap, but I'm one of those guys that likes spending more money on tags and less on luxery...

I'm pleased with my set. Of course I'm hunting high country colorado and it's pretty dry, so it hasn't seen much use.

Packs small and is fairly light. Worked well when I've needed it.

I dunno what size you are but I have a jacket for sale in the classifieds. Great rain gear imo. Especially for the price and weight.

Thanks for the tips guys. I've got a bunch of cabelas points to burn, so I think I'll pull the trigger.

I think it's good rain gear but don't try to bust through brush or briers. They rip very easily. I shredded the pants in my set tracking a deer one time in some briers.

My experience is that it is good for general rain shower use, not good for days of rain use, and as noted, it isn't real durable. Good to just keep in the pack when you aren't expecting real rain.

I killed my set, and moved to ultralight non-breathable coated nylon. Noisier, but it is better at keeping me dry and more durable.
