Anybody used this?

Does it cover the life of the garment? I have an old pair of pants in mossy oak treestand that have seen far better days but I think with the proper stitching and patching they may be salvageable, so I was wondering if I could send them in for repairs?

Alternatively, does anybody have any cabela's microtex they would like to part with?

I tried to order a new pair of microtex pants a couple days ago and they were discontinued. I was bummed. Other than being burr magnets they are great pants and are super durable.

I tried to return a Gore Tex set of coveralls to Cabela's that had a Lifetime Warranty, they basically told me to take a hike (twice, Harrisburg store and corporate). I'll never buy another Cabela's product, those coveralls were not cheap! Plus, I hardly used them.

Cabela's has done that to me a few times as well - I wonder if now that Bass Pro owns them it will improve or degrade ? - I can understand a tear in clothing but not poor stitching, zippers and the like - I was all excited when Cabela's came to Springfield OR a few years back but now that the shine has worn off I couldn't care less if I ever visited them again - For me, a Cabela's trip is to kill time ........

I don't know about the clothing, but I am having a hard time with the Cabelas lifetime warranty on a cookstation that was damaged out of the box. Apparently since the product is made overseas they do not have parts.
Makes you wonder what a lifetime warranty is worth if no parts are available.

Esse quam videri

So what an I missing. It is a lifetime warranty. I am guessing there is more to the story. No receipt, not the original purchaser? What gives. They cannot just say. Yeah it is a lifetime warranty, but not today. There has to be an explanation. What was it. I would not leave the store if it was a lifetime warranty and I could prove I bought it.

^^^If you are referring to me then you are not missing anything. The cookstation was purchased from their website, by me, with a Cabela's credit card. It was damaged in the box on arrival, I requested the damaged parts be replaced, they stated no parts are available as the manufacturer is based overseas.
Now don't get me wrong, it is not going to end this way (if common sense prevails), but that is the way they have been handling it for a little over a month.

"LIFETIME" is by Cabela's rules and discretion - many, including myself, have learned that ...... THAT said, it's not "universal" as other box stores like to pull the same B.S. too

as I said earlier, "maybe" BPS will handle things differently now, I have never dealt with them so don't have a clue about that

I would have returned it for a refund, and ordered another one if I liked it. Cabelas used to be awesome as far as Customer service, but not too much anymore.

Why not just get a refund or have them send you an entire new unit? I have never even had them offer to replace parts........it was an all or nothing return.

I bought a pellet grill/smoker in early June from Cabela's. I used it twice and hated it. Called them up and asked if I could return it "just because I didn't like it" and they said "no problem". I told them I would drop it off at the Denver store. I dropped it off, used and all, and got a full refund.

Best clothes at that price point for sure.

I hope the person you spoke with was misinformed. If they stop microtex, I'm boycotting Cabela's.

Ya, I'm still pissed at them discontinuing the Microtex Lite, that's pretty much all I use during archery season.......it's perfect for that. I would have stocked up if I knew it was going away. However, they appear to have a NEW Microtex lightweight version or something or other. Pants are still too short in a Tall, but I'm interested in what the material is like.
