Anyone know what happened to the Meindl’s that Cabelas used to carry? Most models are no longer listed on their website. Looks like just leftover stock. I was hoping to get a pair of perfect hunters (German made).

Tom I would imagine that bass pro & cabelas are going to focus on carrying their own brands. I was at a cabelas in Lubbock Texas yesterday & they had their remaining meindls on the floor with several other name brand boots they were on clearance.

That’s too bad. The meindls and their microtex stuff were a few of the things that kept me looking their direction. I guess I’ll be trying either the Asolo or Alico’s STP has in stock.

I ran Meindels for years on my Colorado hunts and loved them. I tried to order new pair and couldn't get them now.
So i bought a pair of Crispi to try out and man i love them.

Which pair of Meindls did you use? I really like the way the perfect hunters locked my heel in place. Also which model of Crispi’s did you get?

Hoffman Boots in Kellogg, ID carries a few types of Meindl boots. The ones I saw on their website looked similar to the Alaska Hunter/Alaska Hiker Cabelas used to have. I liked the Alaska Hunters and the old Canada Hunters.

Yeah, I looked at and ordered the Hoffman catalog. Mainly for linesmen. Not to sure how'd they would be for back country hunting. Never heard of ID. I'll give em a quick google.

Oh, Hoffman added a hunting section... basically have to go off what the actual meindls look like to compare. Thanks. Been a few years since I checked their web site out.

Ran Perfect Hikers. Really liked.
I just got the Nevadas.

Confirmed today... Cabela's is no longer bringing in the Meindl line of boots. I also asked the sales guy if he was carrying the narrow sizes of Kennetrek. He shrugged, said "no" and told me they hardly have any on the self in any size. Looks like if you want Cabela's to outfit you for huntin/hiking footware, it's gonna have to be in a pair of camo Crocs. You gott'a love progress.

Uniqlo, Army/Navy Surplus, Walmart, Sportsmen's Warehouse, REI and AMH have been my "go to" retailers. I never did buy much stuff at Cabela's, other than their Alaskan Packframe and the occasional Meindl boots. Oh well, no biggie.

That’s great to hear. I have a pair of Denali’s in 11 but wanted to try an 11.5. Looks like they have identical boots and a few additional options.
