Hello all. So I have been curious to know what you elk hunters think about cabelas clothing line called Instinct. I really like the pattern overall and would work well here in the south but was curious how it might hold up chasing mule deer or elk. Now I know it’s not like Sitka or Kuiu etc which I own quite a bit of but I like to mix it up some. So tell me what you think of you have tried it or know someone who has. Thanks

they cloths .wear it out, buy new to replace.

doubt their as tough as kuiu but also probly half the price. try em out ,let us know.

I haven’t used the instinct, but a have used the Microtex. They’re durable and comfortable.

IMHO, stick with your Sitka and Kuiu. Every since Bass Pro Shops bought Cabela's, the quality has gone way down. My older Instinct is still going strong, however, an Instinct parka I bought last year and wore during deer season has already begun to wear thin in the elbows.

Cabelas micro tex stuff is amazing. i have a few pairs of pants that are 10-15 years old and look like they did new. Not sure about new stuff after BP bought them

Have not used instinct but the old microtechnology was awesome still use a pair that I’ve owned for more than 10 yrs and probably couple thousand miles... buy what you can afford and go hunting. Kuiu and Sitka well nice won’t make you a better hunter. To certain point a lot of high end camo is more of a fashion statement than a necessity.

My instinct clothes are doing just fine after 3 years. It's not the Rokslide way that's for sure but considering the Instinct gear I have has cost about half or less then the fancy clothes I'm happy plus Cabelas stuff runs true to size unlike the fancy brands so I'm able to find stuff to fit.

From what I have seen this year it appears that Bass Pro has really screwed up Cabelas so I have to wonder if the quality is falling off and the selection sure has went down hill.

Yep, sure miss the old Microtex Lite.....especially for $20 on sale. Best early season shirts and pants I've ever seen........regardless of cost. I've got plenty of shirts, but my pants take a beating in elk country.
