If anyone is looking for a podcast specifically aimed at hunting in California you should check out the "Hunting Ain't Easy" podcast. There's eight episodes out now and he has had a lot of awesome guests on his show already from other hunters to wildlife biologists. Its very informative and I would definitely recommend it.

I don't know I listened to a few of their episodes but haven't seen any new episodes recently, they have posted recently on their instagram but it doesn't say anything about the podcast on there.

Thanks for the info. Too many cake eater podcasts of mule deer hunts in Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, etc, passing up 180 bucks. Come show me how to hunt D5 and I will be impressed. Nice to see a California specific show.

Just listened to the first two “bear series” episodes. Really makes you want to drop everything and get a bear tag. Numbers are ridiculous.

I've only listened to 2 episodes and learned a bunch already. Thanks for the suggestion! Surprisingly well put-together, too.

Good bucks in the D zones are usually hard earned and take a good amount of thought, planning, preparation and patience.

Couldn’t agree more. I am more proud of my d zone bucks than anything.

Enjoyed most of the bear series, Mike seems to offer the "average joe" perspective which I think most can relate. I know he's a diehard BHA guy but I appreciate the fact that he can leave that out for the most part. My only and minor gripe is that he's not on the platform I use for the rest of the podcasts I listen to. Looking forward to what the future holds for sure.
