Buy or Build- Sheep Edition

"Truly did not know there were any more than a few factory 6 CM offerings. Off to see how Springfield Waypoints are these days..."
I own a Waypoint, have set up a couple for friends and been around 3-4 more. Every one of them has been a shooter right out of the box. I don’t think you can build a better rifle, for the money, than a Springfield Waypoint. I own plenty of semi custom rifles but none of them shoot any better than my Waypoint.
I've got one in 300 PRC that is a tack driver with factory Hornady ammo. Got to play with one at a long-range class a few years back in 6.5 creed and it was also a great rifle. I would not hesitate to purchase another one if I ran across one at the right price.

Carbon Springfield Waypoint, I have one and have shot multiple waypoints. Mine shoots sub moa with Hornady factory ammo & unknown ammo as well.

I'd reccomend a semi-custom Tikka in an XLR Element chassis or a Seekins Element M3 Hunter.

I went with the Seekins for myself as I was looking for one platform with maximum modularity. The new quick change barrel and bolt head system for the Element M3 action is quite cool. You can pick up barrels ($550) and bolt heads ($125) to essentially run any short action caliber on the new M3 action straight from Seekins or EuroOptic. Takes me about 10 mintues to remove and re-install the barrel on my Slam M3 Hunter below and I have had zero point of impact shift or accuracy decay. No vise, no special tools required.
