I've never seen those types of marks on a scope. For clarification, could that be some kind of residue or something. Some of it is not indentions but looks like the finish has been "pushed" up?
Just trying to get and exact read on the scope condition. Thanks.

It really smooth, I don’t think it’s that the finish is damaged. It does seem like residue, maybe from loctite from mounting the rings. Let me hit with a cloth and some nail polish remover and see how it looks. Might be a day or two before I’m able to get to it.

It's 100% loctite and you should be able to very easily get it off with a razor blade. Acetone won't do much to it other than make it look worse.
