Anyone have any feedback on the newer bushnell LHRS-2? I’ve been running moa scopes but starting to make the switch to mils. Had planned on putting a SWFA 3-9 on this rifle but they are nowhere to be found.

Going on a threaded Barrett fieldcraft and the supressor is stuck in jail so narrowing down some scope options while I wait.

IMO, the 2.0 version its a lot of scope for the svelte Fieldcraft. But a lot of guys are comfortable putting a lot of scope on light rifles, so maybe thats not an issue.

Huge fan of the 1.0s. I've got 2 of them, plus an LRTS, and they will likely be the last scopes I sell unless something new comes out and bumps them.

Might be. Have vortex 3-15 LHTs on my other Barrett’s and they are holding up now but had to use the warranty twice. I have a nightforce shv 3-10 as well but think it’s gonna go on my NULA 284. Would like to go FFP on this one. May have to find a gen 1 lrhs or hope the Swfa 3-9 comes back in stock.

I bought 2 of them a little while back and couldn’t be more pleased. Glass is exceptional, tracking has been dead on. I enjoy the slightly longer tube length as it gives nice easy eye relief. I can’t think of any negatives and I haven’t seen another scope that touches this one in terms of value and quality. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm another guy who's appreciating longer scopes after owning some shorties.
There's just no way around it, you'll compromise a lot of image quality and ease of use with short tubes.
The LRHS2 was on my short list but ultimately I ended up with a Trijicon Credo 4-16

I have a 3-12 lrts I'd trade or sell.

It’s not a giant scope by any means either, 44mm objective is as big as I’m willing to go on my rifles

I run a couple of them. For the price nothing compares in my mind. They’re not short or super light, but for the capabilities and reliability they’re tough to beat. I really like the donut of death for quick offhand shots. I enjoy the FFP as I know my holds are correct at any magnification. The glass at least to my eyes is as good as you’re going to get under $2K and gives up little to true alpha glass. The eyebox is good the parallax while able to be fine tuned isn’t finicky. The turrets are comfortable to run with very nice distinct clicks. My favorite part of them though is every time I shoot my rifle I know it is holding zero. Absolutely perfect return to zero after dialing and tracks as true as anything I’ve ran.
With all that being said I think it may be a little big for a fieldcraft. I’d probably take a look at the NXS 2.5-10x42 or even the SHV 3-10. Saves size and about 7 ounces.

A Nightforce SHV is another good option. I actually have one and its going on this barrett or my NULA 284. Havent made up my mind yet. Might have to get another one if I like that setup. I liked the idea of going FFP on one of these rifles. I also have a 7 mag thats a bit heavier so that might be the ticket for the bushnell if I go that route.

The LRHS2 is a long scope. I think it would look awkward on a Fieldcraft. It is also nearly a half pound heavier than the SWFA. I don’t know how it would affect balance/handling. I have posted the photo below on another thread but this will give you an idea of the length.

L-R: 3–9 SWFA, 3-12 LRHS, 4.5-18 LRHS2
