Bullet minumum velocity for "expansion"

Sort of. Tips and Bose openings are different, but both are standard cup and core bullets.

Probably not. Can’t remember ever seeing FGMM or Tru seconds.
Thanks Form. I always thought with how good a 110 vmax shot it would make a hell of an antelope bullet. But now I know we have better options that deal with wind better. Looking only at the jacket thickness, they don't feel that far off. So if they made a vmax in a heavy enough bullet for a given caliber I bet it would kill decent.

They do- they have made “VMAX’s” in heavy for caliber .224 and others. Meat damage can be a bit much however.

Anyone have some data on expansion for the 156 berger eol, or a 300gr nablr in 338? Conventional wisdoms and from the manufacturer would tell me 1800 and 1300 respectively. I'm not convinced that's entirely accurate.

The 156 is probably in that 1800 ballpark.

For the 300 ABLR, you'll be close to a mile before it drops to 1300 fps. I haven't used that particular potato, but I don't love the 190 ABLR at 300 yards, much less 1000.

What don't you love about it at 300 yards?

I don't have that answer but holy shhhhhhhheeeeet a 300gr ablr in 338 has to leave a mark
