Bullet decision in the 6 arc???

95tmks for me in 6arc gasser, and 6x45 and 6dasher bolt gun.

I’d probably try 107’s and 116’s with the dasher if I wasn’t sitting on so many 95’s. But for the 6x45 and 6arc, the 95’s just make too much sense.

Barrel length and velocity with SW? I have heard good things, but I have never seen a pound of it in person.
SCHEELS sells it. I’m routinely seeing it $45/lb. Might be store specific though, because I don’t see it listed online.

I used it for 223. If I remember right it was only a 10th of a grain or so slower than varget.

I am aware, the closest one is at least 9 hours from me. It’s been at least 3 years since I have stepped foot in one. I’ve debated ordering some online, but I always choose to buy stuff locally in the end. Good to know it’s right there with varget and a potential replacement.
16” Howa mini, 29gr SWPR, 2.564fps
Thank you, the velocity is right about where I was with 27.2gr of varget and same barrel length.

Varget gets me 2,591 with 29 grains. Now TAC is 2713 with 28.7gr.

So you’re jumping them about 0.090”? I’m around 1.762” CBTO at jam.
Got me curious. Jam using a OAL checker/comparator and modified case =s 1.775” in my barrel with a 95 TMK. My load is jumping more like .105”…

Now I know if mine don’t shoot today, I’ll seat them down a good bit farther

Shot the 116 TMK‘s today. My new preferred barrel does seem to like them. Shot charge ladders with STABALL match, CFE, Varget and all were within reason. I think I will load up some STABALL match and Varget to shoot some single charge weight groups and see how those do. Staball definitely had the velocity advantage, but I think a charge somewhere around 27.0 to 27.5 grains of Varget will put them all in one somewhat ragged hole. Pics of groups below. Still “breaking in“ this barrel, as it has less than 100 rounds so far.

Here are my best groups so far with the 95 TMK and 107 TMK. It’s driving me crazy that the cheap 105 gr Frontier FMJ groups so much better (caveat that it’s probably only stat sig different from the 95s at this n… but still)! I’m going to try some combinations of reduced charge and deeper seating to see if the TMK groups tighten up. Load data at the bottom of the inlay on each photo.

TLDR (10 shot groups):
- Frontier 105 FMJ factory: 0.86 MOA at 2550 fps
- 107 TMK: 1.26 MOA at 2555 fps
- 95 TMK: 1.75 MOA at 2755 fps
