Bullet choice for... Squirrels.

Remington golden bullet 36grain hollow point by the bucket here. Never have shot a group but out of my customized 10/22 I very seldom miss Eurasian dove or fluffy tails.

For pest control the CCI segmented rounds work very well. They have "Segmented Quiet", which are really slow, but they are quiet and hit hard. They also have "Segmented Subsonic", which are very accurate in my tikka. They do a lot of damage and kill quickly. For pest control these would be my choice. Quiet without a suppressor and subsonic with a suppressor if you care about disturbing the peace.
This!

Second this, they work great on jackrabbits. Kill quite a bit faster than a standard lead rn. The only testing I’ve done other than bunnys was a soda can full of water at 50 yards, there was three holes in about a one inch group on the backside, so it seems they come apart as advertised.

Yes hollow points make a difference. I shoot a lot of cheap shit, but prefer the winchester superX if I'm serious about killing stuff.

None of it will touch an HMR though
