My hunting partner and I decided to hunt an area that’s known for lots of very small deer, even going so far as to be called the “nursery buck ground.” There’s tons of roads everywhere and more people than anywhere else in the unit. But we realized that almost no one gets out of their rigs and actually hikes. We ended up getting these two bucks in the first 3 days of season. Just goes to show you that there are good deer in lots of places if you’re willing to go where other people don’t. It also was a reminder to practice longer range shots as both of these bucks only offered shots at 450+ yards

Damn those are some big boys, congrats. I saw some decent bucks in Murderers Creek unit during archery season. There is a lot of burn there from the Canyon Creek complex, but I wasn't in the burn.

jonnycoder thanks man! They seem to really like the burns this year. I’ve heard of some big bucks over in murderers creek but haven’t been able to spend time over there.
