Brush Buster Piece

What soft shell or mid layer is good for going through thick brush? I know waterproof jackets are probably most durable but I’m looking for something that breathes better, also worried waterproof jacket will tear and ruin the jacket so I’d rather run that chance with a soft shell or mid layer. Preferably kuiu but open to any brand.

The Kutana soft shell is the Kuiu 'brush buster'. If you went rain jacket route get the Yukon.
