Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake is a sludge pit

Why? Because there’s algae on the bottom?

Interesting.

We have algae blooms that kill off most all of the water life. Havent heard if it killing dogs.
Not all algae are dangerous to dogs, but cyanobacteria is. A few years ago, a guy fishing in Lake Lowell in Southwest Idaho let his dog walk in mud with blue-green algae. The dog died soon after, apparently by simply licking its paws. Here's a link to a clinical article:

Nope, just saw the picture posted by IDEQ. But that area does have chukars! Coincidentally, was out hunting Huns today with my brother in a different area- seems to be a very good year for them.
We seem to have a lot of birds this year also, should be a good season.

Blue green algae is a huge fear of mine. With the heat we have had this fall it is bad in both dakotas. Even when it dries up can still be deadly. A trainer was in utah a few years ago in the fall and had multiple dogs die a couple pulled through. It was dried up algae on the shore
