Browning x bolt 300 prc

Hey I am a new member and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Browning x bolt 2 max LR SPL SR 300 prc it has a 26 inch barrel with a 1-8 twist . I have seen on here about some x bolts having ejecting problems. And also looking for bullet recommendations any help will be greatly appreciated

I do not have that specific X Bolt 2 but IMO, you can't go wrong with any of the X Bolts.

I might get flamed for saying this on here since it is not a Tikka, but I believe the X Bolt 2s to be one of the best factory production rifles available. I have one in .30-06, and a buddy as one in 7mag. Both perform very well and can consistently shoot comfortably under 1" at 100.

I have two X bolts, 6mm CM, and 6.5 PRC, both long range. Really like both of them.

Never had an ejection problem in an a-bolt 1,2 or x-bolt 1,2.
Been toting then over 100 days a year for 35 years. Probably 2 dozen of them

Just grab some 225gr murder bullets.

I have a X bolt Mt Pro in 300 PRC. Mine did not like factory Hornady brass. It would stick a little when I went to open the bolt. Switched to Peterson Brass and have had zero issues since. Hornady brass is known to be soft

I am going to use lapua or Peterson brass and thinking about trying the berger 220 .what bullets have you tried and thank you for your time and answering my post

I ended up going with the 212 ELDX. I did not try the Bergers, but I know others who really like it though.

Thank you I know that your 300 prc is very nice have you got a muzzle brake on it if so what kind and how is the recoil on it I don't mean to both you but this is the first 300 I have bought

Mine came with the Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and it worked very well, but I am not a big fan of muzzle brakes, so I run my suppressed with a Nomad Ti XC.

I will be buying a muzzle Brake for mine would love to have a suppressor for mine did the recoil hawg do good

I have a XBolt mountain pro 300prc with the hawg brake. It definitely cuts down on recoil but it’s dang loud! I had better luck with factory Barnes 208gr LRX ammo than Hornady 212gr and 220gr ammo.

I plan on reloading the 208gr LRX soon, I think I have 2 boxes left. I was averaging 2927fps out of a 26” barrel.
