There is a reason so many are available. Everyone has a different opinion on what is desireable. If you know where to aim and you can put your arrow on the mark any broadhead is effective. Probably field points as well.
Each broadhead has plusses and minuses. A small fixed blade will generally fly well and easily tune, penetrate well. A large fixed blade will be a lot more difficult to tune. A mechanical will punch a big hole and is generally easy to tune, but they aren't as durable and I haven't seen where they will penetrate as well as a small fixed blade. But different scenarios you don't need as much penetration so long as you can punch a whole all the way through. You need to determine what your needs are, and what will fly good out of your setup.
