My broadhead order came in the other day, 9 new VPA 125 grain heads. 6 vented 2 blade and 3 vented 3 blade. Will get out tomorrow and shoot, then elk and muley season early September!

Nice! How are you going to resharpen them? I use a bastard file and stone.

Depends which one. For the 2 blade heads I've found when I'm @ home, my KME knife or broadhead sharpener gets the call, and out in the field I have a little Smiths tool that works perfectly.

For the 3 blades I just have some ceramic stones, and will run them over a leather strop w/compound and it gets them hair popping sharp.

Always kind of wanted to try the jewelstik for the 3 blades but never got around to it. I do have a nicholson file for the 3 blade if it gets really nicked up somehow, haven't had to use it yet. Actually I could use that nicholson file on the 2 bladers as well.

I really like my VPA's, super easy to sharpen, great steel that holds an edge well, they spin perfect every time. Great customer service on an American made product.

No i'm not sponsored or affiliated with VPA in any way, just appreciate quality and hard work when I see it.

Good luck this year, you will have to post up some pictures when you get something.

I shoot these heads and love them. Hands down they are my goto heads and have been for quite some time. I shoot the 175's for the three bladers I use a file first then a stone simplest heads out there to use and sharpen but thats my own opinion. for the 2 bladers iUse my KME and a stone. these just destroy the hogs we have down here in the south especially with Trad bows. Best of luck to you

Nice man, Rusa stag?

I have to get down to Aussie/NZ someday and will if I have any say in the matter. I used to love watching the broadside bowhunter, can't seem to find it online anymore for some reason

ah, that was going to be my second guess.

That really stinks about BB, was a really fun watch. I can't even find the website anymore for some reason.

So where is East Gippsland?
