rhis has probably been tamales about before and I’ve just missed it, but what’s some recommendations on a broadhead for hunting deer/elk. Right now I’m pulling 45lbs on my setup and don’t see me just any higher this year. I really like ironwills but would like to stay on the cheaper side this year.

I’ve killed a boat load with stingers at 38/40lbs on my fingers at my 25 inch draw. Pass throughs most the time.

I switched to vpa 3 blades year ago and have had great results. Make sure whatever you pick is sharp and go kill some stuff!!!!

Qad exodus are great heads & get high regards from a lot of guys on here, myself included. I wouldn’t hesitate to shoot one out of a 45# bow within reasonable ranges.

This may make some folks mad, but look up lusk archery adventures on the youtubes and check out the deepower 3 blade 100 grain. I've been running them for 4-5 years now on all my bows and I honestly can't complain at all about them. 6 for $25, metal injection molded, easy to sharpen, extremely durable and they make awesome holes.

I can't see myself using anything but the Terra Firma broadheads for the next little while out of both my trad bows and my compound bow. The Venator is a fantastic design - a simple single bevel two blade, sharpens nicely, flies well, etc. They're a great price, too.

If you like Iron Wills but want to stay cheaper it would be hard to do better than a Magnus Stinger 4 blade. If you want the width of the Iron Will wide cut, the Zwickey Delta 4 blade has almost the exact same specs, but is a little (ok a lot) more challenging to sharpen. VPA 3 blades are great and easy to sharpen as well but a little more money. Lot's of great options out there depending on your desired weight and sharpening abilities.

Thanks for the info guys, is there any of these broadheads mentioned that anyone has had issues with blood trailing. My brother using magnus stringers with bleeders has had great penetration but blood trails where minimal and had to get a dog twice even with a good hit both times.

I’m had stingers pour and others hardly a drop. All location dependent and every animal is different.

I’m a firm believer 3 blades make better blood trials just from the 100s of critters I’ve shot.
