Bringing an older pair Hanwag Alaska GTX back to life

Got an older pair of Hanwags. They fit good and I have never gotten a mark on my foot wearing them. My buddy had a brand new pair last trip. His feet stayed twice as dry as mine. I mink oil mine every year but they don't keep water out like they used to I guess. Any way of bringing them back to near new for water proofness? What does everyone use?

Sounds like your goretex bootie is compromised. You can improve things for leather boots by conditioning them with something like Obenauf’s or Snow Seal, but it won’t fix the goretex.

on my yukon's I oil them before and after every trip. I dont have any issues.
