Bridger Watch - "The Problem No One Fixed" (smartwatch)

I think they just got a bit ahead of themselves. I was supposed to be a part of an early testing program and after a few months of them saying they’d have the watches soon to testers they said they can’t provide test watches anymore and instead offered a discount to purchase one. I love the idea and what they are trying to do I just think they’re off to a rocky start it seems. A project like this probably isn’t one that should be rushed to release. I guess my old garmin will have to keep on keepin on for now.
I was also in the running for the testing and jumped on the founders series to support the effort.

Well, if the tech has come this far, add one more feature and put the sat text or SOS on it. I use a phone for too many things. If i needed an SOS button, a wearable with 14 day battery life makes sense to me.

I have the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro and it’s connected to my Inreach mini 2 and I can use my watch as the InReach remote. I can initiate an SOS from my watch and send quick messages from my watch. This Bridger watch does look pretty cool and I really like the fact that it’s got the OnX map on it. I think it would be even better if it could integrate the Inreach remote capability, but I doubt they’ll ever be able to do that with Garmin owning InReach. I will say, though that all the Watch has to do is pick up the ANT+ sensor which the Inreach uses and then they would be able to use it as a remote.

I think Inreaches will be obsolete when they get satellite comms dialed in on smart phones.
