Bridge Lock Stabilizer Movement

Hello All, I recently noticed my Mathews Bridge Lock stabilizer has a small amount of vertical movement, no matter how tight I twist the set screw (I have a Phase 4 33"). Is this minimal movement a bad thing? I am able to group arrows decently with the bow however Im curious if I would find better consistency / accuracy with a threaded stabilizer without this movement? I've been wanted to experiment with a back bar and was going to purchase the bridge lock system as I'm already invested in the front bar but this has me second guessing a different setup. Would appreciate any thoughts or opinions you all might have, thank you!

I can only speak for the Lift and Lift X, but there should be zero play when tightened down.

Maybe check that screw and make sure it’s not worn, or when you get the back bar, swap out the screw with the new one that comes with the new stab and see if that helps

Oh another thing, it still shouldn’t make a difference, but when you’re tightening that screw see if it’s landing in the little indent on the stab.

Okay awesome, That was my main concern is it making a difference. Which I didn't think was the case as it is shooting fine and I've got it timed/tuned well. Yes, stabilizer knob/screw is landing in the indent on the stabilizer. I shoot just about everyday and I always put the bow away in the case which means I'm messing with the stabilizer everyday... which is likely wearing that knob down. Maybe I need to stop doing that haha. Thanks for your input!

I haven’t any issues with the bridge lock stabilizers moving on multiple setups. Are you running the stabalizer all the way through the riser like this? If it isn’t making contact on 2 points like below I could see it wobbling..

Just went to the pro shop today and purchased a back bar. It came with a new stabilizer knob that I installed on my front bar, the movement I was experiencing is now gone! The tip of the old stabilizer knob was worn and not making good contact. It’s likely due to me loosening and tightening that knob daily when I take my bow out of the case to shoot. Thanks
