I currently have a pair of Lowa Tibets that work amazing for all rifle seasons when the temperature drops. During the summer and archery season, my feet sweat in them like crazy. I am considering trying non-goretex boots or possibly eVent lined boots, which eVent is supposed to be able to breathe better than gore-tex. I can't really find much information on eVent boots online though.

Anyone have any ideas or have ran into this issue and solved it? I don't really want to downgrade to a lighter style boot or shoe. I also already use the thinnest sock possible.

You didn't say if you are running the hi top Tibets, but if you are you could go with regular height which will help a lot. Or you could just go with a non-lined all-leather hiker, I had pairs of all-leather Scarpas and Garmonts that did pretty well as far as water resistance goes. But they still didn't breathe all that well once you put the leather treatment on them. I really doubt you'd notice much difference between eVent and Gore-Tex. I almost always hunt with lined boots because it is better than the alternative IME. I just deal with the sweat and switch liner socks each day and outer socks every other day if I'm backpacking and every day if I'm not (my feet sweat like crazy too).

I am running the tibet Hi's but I had the regular tibets before this and had the same issues. I prefer the Hi's as they fit and flex much better above the ankle when hiking in steep terrain. I've been using leukotape and benzoine tincture to mitigate any heel rub when my feet sweat. I also rotate socks so I guess I will keep doing so. I'll probably just stick to dealing with the downsides then trying the leathe lined boots. Thanks for the information.
