I have my go to pair of uninsated boots but I moved to Montana and will be hunting cat season quite a bit so I bought a pair of schnees 600 gr. Insulated boots. How do you all break in these boots during the summer /late fall without overheating your feet. Just looking for recommendations.

Wondering as well , I wore my 400 gram insulated ones at the 3d course when it was about 75 degrees out and it wasnt too bad.

My schnees where really comfortable and needed almost no break in for me. I put them on and went to work. I have always had wool socks on when wearing them and the liner is always in so there is plenty of padding. Other than a bad fit I wouldnt worry to much.

Thanks. I tried on the boots but of course they did not have a size eleven in stock. The 10.5 was just a little to tight. Can’t wait to get them in the mail. That’s encouraging about the break in. My Meindl took about 50 miles but now they fit like a glove.

I put my Crispis on for the first time on the drive out to Wyoming. Got lucky, I don't recommend doing that but it worked out fine for me.

Mine 600gr Schnees didnt require much break in. I pretty much just started wearing them and I was good to go. Lucked out that I never had any blister issues.
