Just looking at that pic reminds me of the 80's. I really haven't put much effort into deer hunting since then........after populations and big bucks plummeted.

That is nerve-racking to spend that many points, but I’ll bet you still have a good time and there’s still a chance of a good buck out there a lot of units. I drew Pinon Canyon two years in a row, and turned the tag back in both times just because of range hassles etc. Otherwise I'd have 22 points now. One of those years I heard someone shot a 200" buck. I was really hoping that it was the guy that got my tag, but I'll never know.
It got hurt with these late dates, but I don’t think it’s gonna get any better anytime soon and I would hunt it as soon as you can if it were me. (*says the guy with 1 point)
