Brass Insert glue

Looking to install some brass inserts in some carbon shafts. I would like to be able to remove the inserts to cut the shafts for tuning.
What glue do you all suggest?

Blue hot melt works great. I've only had a couple pull loose and that was in a plywood backing.

I've used Bohning Cool Flex and Kimsha with good results.

Agree with the Hot Melt - to remove, heat the threads of a field point, then screw it into the insert and wait a few seconds to let the heat dissipate and melt the glue. If you heat the insert directly you may damage the carbon.

Kimsha here. Works well. I've had 2 inserts pull out over the last few months but they were in a tree and I've occasionally had epoxy pull out in similar situations too.

With hot melt you just glue in another insert...

I just screw the field point in and then heat the end of the field point. You can even clamp it into a vice and apply some tension as you apply heat, so that it slides out as soon as it is warm enough.

Do you guys have some reason that just dipping the end of the arrow in hot water for a few seconds isn't a good idea? I haven't had any issues with doing it that way but not sure if I'm just lucky.

I take the nock out and drop a 1/4 inch drill bit in. The insert pops right out when I use hot melt. Once I find the correct length then I use two part epoxy to set the insert

I just dip the point in boiling water for 10 sec and can usually twist the insert out easily enough with pliers.

Really liked the hot melt as I play with different point weights more now.

One more vote for hot melt here, hot water will let you pull em out no problem. I like to use a copper barrel cleaning brush to scratch up the inside. Put the hot melt on the insert, then heat it up over a candle until it's all nice and runny, jam it in with a twist then dip in cool water to set.
