Brake squeel

Alright gentlemen. I've exhausted my talent and abilities which isn't difficult in this subject.

2014 F150.

I first replaced the rear pads with ceramics.

They squeeled after so I removed and lubricated which helped. They continued to squeel short time later.

Second i decided to just replace the rotors in hopes it would solve it. It did not.

Third, I returned the pads under warranty today and the new set..you guessed it squeel.

The kicker is they squeel only upon initial brake pressing with light pressure. If I push hard they go quiet. So it's only at 15-40mph zone. If I feather the brake I can carry the squeel as long as I like.

I'd say I put over 1500 miles on between step 1 and 2 while sorting it all out. Just did the new warranty pads today.

Whats going on here?

I don’t think it’s strictly a Ford problem but my 2012 F150 squeals and I’ve learned to tune it out. Our 09 Edge was terrible until I used the grease on the back of the pad and it went away.

Yes, as in the first link in the google search I posted shows ceramic brake squeal is a thing and it is easily fixed.

A little bit of squeal is common with new pads. It'll go away in time.
Are you certain it's the rears?
Are you using cheap, low-end pads? I had a buddy with a similar problem and better quality pads eliminated the noise.

Did you coat the back of your pads that touch the caliper piston?

I did coat them. Although I used some marine grade hub grease that I had around. In a effort to spite def90 I awoke and went and bought proper brake lubricant and disassembled and reapplied.
All is quiet for now, which isn't unusual since they did that after I lubed them the first time.

However if they don't squeel over the next few days I will publicly apologize to def90 and meme myself accordingly.
