A slow day glassing for bears last spring. I will never forget the look on my friends face when I pulled that fish out on the first try with a safety pin hook and paracord line. Of coarse I acted like I do it all the time.

Winter Steelhead is just getting started. Lots of time to still get out.

I dont have the time/money to get in the drift boat and dont like fishing Reiter Ponds. Dont like combat fishing for steelhead. My best time for steelhead in the wallace is late November-end December then i just go bird hunting haha.

Long arms or no, it was registered as 25" with the state game department and I'm getting my first trophy pin ever. So I'm happy!

A friend of mine dug this picture up of me fishing off the sea wall when I was probably 12-13yrs old (almost 30 years ago)

It’s probably 18” wide or a little less, must have been a little rough because I would only straddle it when it was rough, and if the water was splashing over the low spot about 10’ behind me, I wouldn’t walk out there

I would stand out on the end of that thing until 2-3am some nights when the rockfish were biting good, all by myself just catching fish all night

I remember around that time I filleted fish for the charter boats until I was old enough to be a deckhand, and I would go on a 12hr halibut trip, then cut fish all evening, and then go fish off the rocks or seawall all night… couldn’t get enough fishing

Been having a great spring so far, bunch of 3 and 4lb plus smallmouth, had an epic day yesterday of over 40 fish. Me and my dad both broke our pb’s recently, 5.25 for me and 5.5 for him.
