Braggin Board for Fishing!

Our annual AK trip didn’t disappoint. Freezer full of kings, silvers, yelloweye, few reds, halibut, and ling cod. Man I love Homer, got to introduce some family members who have never experienced AK and we killed em!

Those are kings/silvers attached. Only pic I snagged of the reds after snagging in China Poot. Nice sized too.

Where are you living in Wis. I'm originally from southern Wis. Janesville. Up until a couple years ago I would make a trip back in Oct. for deer and grouse up in Sawer county. A lot of the guys are no longer with us and some of the guys are just to old to walk the woods, including me.:(

A little new Zealand underwater action, I took my litle sister out for her first time diving for Abalone at my Spot X.
We limited out in just a few mins with some stonkers, here the minimum size is around 6" and anything larger than 7" is considered big.

On the left is a minimum size shell, the largest shell is over 8" 😁

Man, I miss abalone diving, but I think I miss eating it even more. Good job guys!

That’s a nice pacific! What outfit did you charter with?

Since you asked...Maverick Charters.
I've used them three other times now. It's a family-owned business, who bought what used to be Silver Fox Charters a few years back, which was around for a long time. I truly can't say enough good things about these guys. They run a real dedicated company to helping folks get their fish, and they know what they're doing for sure. They do book-up real fast and early, and they have many repeat customers. BTW, I don't profit in any way from sharing with you.

Just east of Hudson. Spend most of my time locally chasing roosters and whitetails and spend quite a bit of time out west too. Since we started going to AK I don’t fish much around home anymore other than occasionally on our cabin on Lake Superior.

We down in the San Diego area sure wish they would return. It's been a good 15 years since we had a good run on them. YFT, and BFT galore down here.
Yeah. Albacore is a super fun fish to have locally.
I truly love eating them sashimi or a poke bowl. I used to can a bunch, but for some reason, I'm not a big cooked tuna fan.

Sailfish in Guatemala. Waited three years for this trip and it was well worth it.
