Caught these two paddlefish side by side. Between the two they had 42 pounds of caviar.

Being the rower I don’t get to actually fish as much as I’d like. But I do get to pick and choose my spots. After one such day when I caught the only two fish of the day on three casts my fishing/hunting buddy made the astute comment, “If only steelhead could grow horns they’d be safe from Broodbuster.” LOL

Down here in central TX I do a fair amount of bassing on local rivers, fly rod and top water from canoe or paddle board. It’s tricky to cast, set, fight, and land without falling in!!BC779016-B9D2-4D7B-B0F0-8E020E5352ED.jpegC3C83225-2D51-4468-9576-EE17EC306ABD.jpeg

Some highlights so far from canoe fishing with my old man here in the Midwest. IL, IN, MI.

First Freshwater drum I’ve ever caught that thing fought like a beast.

Being a fisheries biologist I’m lucky enough to handle a bunch of different fish.

PS...some of these guys were caught in trap nets some on rod and reel still fun either way
