Bowstring wear

Bear Redemption EKO bowstring seems to be rubbing cam and causing some wear. Not sure if this is due to cam lean. Worried it will progressively worsen.

How old is it? If you shoot on a regular basis you should probably replace your string every year anyway.

It’s a year old. I’m leaning towards having it replaced

That doesn’t look unusual to me. It’s where the string slaps the cam during the shot. The wear in occurring on the serving not the actual string. I’d replace when the serving gets chewed up

Sorry for the bump but this is also happening to my Bear Redemption EKO - in the same spot.

I don't understand how it could wear here from the string slapping the cam during the shot.

I put the bow in a draw board and slowly winded all the way to full draw and then back down and the string doesn't touch that cam at all.
