I used it this past season. Ran it on three different packs. An icon pro 1850/5200, a Sitka tool box and MR crew cab.
First issue is none of the three packs I felt it was easy to deploy the bow onto the device. Taking it out of the device was easy, getting it in not so much. If the pack was loaded then forget it, I couldn't get it on.
Second issue for me. When the bow was in it it didn't feel secure enough for me to use for any length of time or difficult terrain with out some kind of lashing. The bow would rock from slide to side and you can feel it. I would imagine that going through heavy cover it would be possible to push the bow up out of the device if the bottom of the bow somehow was pushed up by brush ect.
Those videos on the sight of guys scaling rocks and riding bikes....I call bull shit without lashing.
Next issue depending on the pack the device has enough weight that it will pull the material down when your accessing the pack getting in your way at times. Lastly this thing isn't even close to be being light weight. Honestly at times I felt like it would be more useful placed on my hip to hold the bow while glassing free hand. However why use that when a 2oz Sitka bow holder works just as well.... all in all I am not impressed.
