Looking for some opinions on must do hunts for bow hunters and when and where to do these hunts. Wouldn't hurt to include additional info like appx cost, degree of difficulty etc...whatever you time would allow. The Arizona otc hunt thread spurred this idea as it sounds like a great bowhunt for this time of year. Here is a few I think are good opportunities.

September-Elk are a bow hunters dream animal...tough all the way around but not so difficult that hundreds don't fill their tags each year.

October- Whitetails in late October in the Midwest

November: same as above...first two weeks are special

December: Texas for whitetails, hogs, and whatever else is running loose until it hits a fence

January: would have said wt in the south until reading about Arizona OTC muledeer or coues

February: Mountain Lion?

March: way over my budget, but turkey in south Florida is an option. No special archery only regs but you can likely pay for space.

April: Nebraska and Kansas archery only season for turkey. 5 bird trip and doable on public, very doable on private. Trespass fees range from nothing to $100 per day.

May/June: bear in Canada.

This is limited experience list. I would love to hear about antelope opportunities for archers and I expect Wyoming is a top destination as I saw a semi load of the off I:85

Union Co Kentucky has and archery only area with some really good turkey hunting and lots of deer. Late April for turkey features nice weather and a decent amount of birds. I usually fill both tags in short order, but turkey are sort of my thing. I would follow spring all the way to Maine if I could, ending there in late May.

I think our summers are Africa winters and I hear that is an awesome hunt. I suppose Australia or New Zealand would be fun too. Once again not in my price range, but some might learn from this and take advantage.
