I usually replace factory strings after their first season.
Threadz, gas, JBK, catfish, and John’s custom archery all make fantastic strings.
I’d stay away from vec99. I’ve personally seen too many instances of peep and serving slip on them. They’re really pretty and waxless, but they’re slick.
Get a good set of some blend of BCY X material, and you’ll be good to go. On the replacing strings, most hunting bows get replaced from them getting beat up in the woods more often than actually being “shot out”. I replace my strings every year, but I run a small shop out of my garage. If I was paying the prices it costs to get someone to install them, it’d probably be every few years.
