Hello friends. Last fall I built an ILF recurve to dip my feet in the Trad game. It's a 66" bow. Tradtech blackmax 2.0 30# limbs( long) on a Galaxy 21" riser. I have it strung with an x99 mountain muffler bowstring. My draw length comes in just shy of 32". After a dozen in person coaching classes at the easton archery center my form is fairly decent. I'm looking to step up in draw weight to 35-40# limbs(same limbs just heavier). My question is will I need to get a new string as well or will my current string work for the heavier draw weight. Really dont want it to explode in my face or damage equipment. Appreciate any insight y'all might have.

As long as the length is the same you will be fine, each strand is good for 80-100# generally and they generally build strings thicker than actually needed to make it easier to serve it.
