I had a bare shaft break in a vertically stacked layered target from hitting a bit sideways. It is a 300 spine.

This center spot shows two fletched arrows. The other holes are bare shaft impacts.

Is there some tuning needed?

I only have two fletched shafts so I was shooting 5 bare shafts for leagues. I had to adjust my sights as you can see in the above picture with the two arrows.

What kind of bow you shooting?

Looks like the rest needs to come down slightly.

Yoke tune or move the rest a touch to the right.

Make sure you're shooting what could be a well tuned bow with a relaxed bow hand in proper position on the grip. You night be causing the problem especially if the bow was tuned well prior to this happening.

You have to fix one thing at a time. When a barshaft is high you will need to lower the rest or advance the top cam. It's all a balance in doing so and you don't want one to far from the other.

My first question would be where is your current nock height set at ?

Second would be, how far is your top cam advanced, if any at all ?

Then we can work on left and right

I tidied up my grip since these pictures. My fletched arrows are 1.5" right. My bow is a Spyder Turbo and the nock & rest are deadnuts (like we discussed) and top cam is 1/8" advanced. I feel like I shoot like crap after working out the day of leagues. The targets are vertically layered and patched with hard spots of foam.

I would lower the rest a touch and leave cam synch alone to take care of the vertical impact.

Now the horizantal, you were on the money with a few of those other pics you sent me. I'm going to say form and if you felt like crap from working out, I wouldn't adjust anything for the horizontal until you have a good day to compare results

Here are several pics. The bow wasn't touched during this exercise I was purposely shooting with various degrees of tension in my bow hand. The last pic was a completely relaxed bow hand. I recently had an epiphany (after 25 years of shooting) while messing around with my grip position/hand relaxation and bare shaft tuning and I've found its a great way to get immediate feed back on form. All arrows were shot at 15 yards which is the max range in my garage. This is why I suggested to the OP the he look at himself before the bow since on a thread last week the OP seemed to have the bow tuned with help from Shane.
