Any other state open today?

My only action is a doe that decided to blow at me and run around for a solid 10 minutes. She had to pick the one line I walked in on.

Rubber boots and scent control didn't make a difference.

Good luck! I'm not hunting this weekend. Next weekend I'll either be guiding my dad on a pronghorn in the Panhandle or for axis at my lease in the Hill Country. I don't get too mad at the whitetail anymore, but I'm sure I'll kill a couple before the year's over.

Out sweating my nads off in the natl forest today. Texas really shouldn't be this dang hot.

I bumped a little fawn this morning, luckily he didnt give me a shot... would have been an easy packout at least.

Only other action is this massive beast... hard to tell from the photo but he's at least 8 feet long, he chased me for 3 miles before I was able to subdue him with that small tree. I'm way stronger than I look...

Live in Texas but hunt in Oklahoma, and they open next weekend. But did a bunch of work at the place yesterday putting food plots in so I decided to sit this am before I headed home. Was comfortable around 72, slight wind. Had 6 deer come in, who knows how many my stinky body scared away. Was good to sit in the stand. Anxious for some rain and cooler temps!

Had to let a decent little buck pass because I dont think he would have made AR once the tape came out.

I was hunting from the ground he came in to about 25 yards I had several shot opportunities but I wasnt going to take the chance. I swear he was stretching his ears out..

If not for AR he would have eaten carbon..
