Just got an AMR from the classifieds and I'm trying to figure out how I want to hold my bow on it.

Anyone have suggestions that work for them?

I dont have an AMR but have seen them in the field. Normally they run a grab it and add an extra compression strap across the top of the bag. Works well from what I have seen.

I've used 2 compression straps across the back and then a grab it with a single compression strap. Both work but I prefer the grab it and single strap. Haven't tried the guide lid and grab it but it sounds like a great idea.

Anybody have any pics with your bow attached to an AMR? Does the strap rub on your strings and cables?

I can't find a good pic on my phone. Will check with my partner tomorrow and see if he accidentally caught a good pic.

Run the strap across your riser and not over your strings. We never had a strap touch a string during the times we had bows strapped to our packs.

I've done a lot of hiking with my bow with the AMR.

That's half an elk in there. Works just the same with camp in there.

What he said (except I have an AMR). Works great.
