Local shop is stocked with a few from each brand. Also has Blantons on the shelf… for $96 though. No idea what it goes for now but that is a lot more than I paid last time for it a few years back!

We did a tasting at Wyoming whiskey. My dad was ready to buy a bottle of their 10 year barrel strength after tasting them all and then one of the owners came out and said “since you’re here in person…”

She brought out a tasting for us from a barrel of their special distillery collection batch. You can only get these bottles at the distillery in Kirby, WY. Most of the bourbon there wasn’t knock your socks off but this one for sure stood out.

He bought 2 of the last 3 bottles they had.

Brush Creek is not distilled in Wyoming, they are blending and aging spirits made elsewhere.
WW has come a long way since they opened. They have a few good ones now.

I’m out of the game on this but Buffalo trace must have had a big release or something. The other day my friend “needed” beer so I went to the store with him, I was just looking around and was surprised to see several eh Taylor’s, Eagle rare, Buffalo, all the different sellers and a bunch of other stuff I wouldn’t really expect find in a small rural Alaska liquor store.

For a minute there I thought it was a sign to get back to the hobby of drinking.

So jealous of you guys. Here in MN, bourbon is stupid expensive. I saw a bottle of Blantons for $199. Wellers, if you can ever find it, is about $150. Gonna make a run to Kentucky someday and fill my truck up!

I just finished off a Elijah Craig Small Batch 94 proof. Not a fan although it was drinkable. I would have saved it, but I don't serve guests bottles I don't like.

That’s literally the only thing I ever did with bottles I didn’t like. My friends weren’t really into good bourbon though.

My buddy was always like “why can’t I have more”??? Because I just watched you put ice into 250.00 bourbon, that’s why. If you want to do that shit drive yourself to the store, get some Jim beam and a bag of ice and come back.
