Bourbon

One of the best pours I’ve ever had. I’m pretty sure it was a one off as RC’s others releases aren’t nearly as good. My understanding is this was a happy little mistake due to RC incorrectly ordering Spanish oak barrels. That said, whatever happened here rivals or surpasses Coy Hill, Stagg and the best JDSBBP special releases. It’s probably the darkest and richest bottle I’ve owned but only sweetness/richness and none of the tannin bitterness I usually dislike with double oaked products. If you can find one under $200 it’s worth it. I’m sure there are still a few out there in small town stores.

I say same same with this single barrel. However I usually like double oak products that arent bitter. Any Spanish oak and french oak stuff is almost always a buy now for me. Mine had the most delicous taste of vanilla and pecan pie or pecan brittle. This bottle was a dark horse that left an impression on my palate. Sadly mine is all gone.

If you liked this I would say woodford double oak you will probably like too.
